The boiling point of a liquid is the point at which the vapor pressure equals the environmental pressure that surrounds the liquid. Basically, if you are boiling water in a pot, when the vapor pressure or temperature of the water gets as hot as the pot you are boiling the water in then it will boil. I make candles and this is a very important point to know because you can never let your wax reach a boiling point or you could ruin your candle and/or start a fire!
