To copyright a photograph, it must be your original work. If you are uploading a portrait to the web, you will want to give it a watermark. Sometimes putting your logo in the side corner or across the middle of your portrait will do the trip. Be sure that if you are a photographer, that you are making your clients sign a contract saying that the portraits are copyright and they may not make duplicates.
