It is no longer necessary to do anything special to copyright your work. As soon as your work is complete and put into copy, it is protected. If you created it, you own it. No one else can use, sell, reproduce, or lay claim to without your expressed permission.Registering your work with the US Copyright Office has it's benefits, but is no longer required either. It will be helpful because it establishes public record. You can find more information here:
