Baby robins eat whatevery their parents have eaten. This is because the parent comes back to the nest and then regurgetates the food into the baby's mouth. If you find a baby bird that has fallen from the nest you should leave it as the parents will come back to care for it. Otherwise, call a rescue society who specializes in birds as they will have the facilities and know how on how to care properly for the bird.
